Are you a seasoned Inventory Manager ready to take on a critical role within a cutting-edge organisation?
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the inventory management strategy for a high-profile site in Leighton Buzzard.
This is a pivotal role where you will oversee the management of a significant inventory portfolio, driving the execution of an inventory reduction plan to align with financial targets.
You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with a talented cross-functional team and work within an environment known for excellence in the aerospace and power industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a Cross-Functional Team: Manage and guide teams across procurement, production, MRO, purchasing, and supplier management to optimize inventory levels.
- Drive Action Plans: Ensure timely completion of key inventory action plans that align with yearly objectives and operational goals.
- Strategic Reporting: Provide weekly progress updates to site leadership, divisional management, and monthly reports to senior executives in the electrical and power sectors.
- Proactive Problem Solving: Identify inventory gaps, forecast potential issues, and lead initiatives to resolve them effectively.
- Enhance Reporting & BI Systems: Improve site reporting and business intelligence systems to offer clear insights into inventory performance.
What We're Looking For:
- Inventory Expertise: Solid experience in inventory management and a strong background in supply chain operations.
- System Proficiency: Hands-on experience with MRP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Analytical Skills: A data-driven approach, with the ability to translate analytics into actionable insights
