Job description
A defence technology business require a Commercial Manager / Senior Commercial Manager. Applicants need commercial management or contract management experience within; aerospace, defence contracting or technology environment.
The Commercial Manager / Senior Commercial Manager will work across the entire commercial contract lifecycle, with a strong focus on change management activities. The Commercial Manager / Senior Commercial Manager will be responsible for all commercial and contractual aspects of their assigned programmes and projects. The Commercial Manager / Senior Commercial Manager will be responsible for developing and mentoring a Junior Commercial Contract Manager.
Specific duties of the Commercial Manager / Senior Commercial Manager:
- Provide a full lifecycle commercial contract management resource to Project Managers/Project Directors
- Supporting bidding and pricing activities
- Risk mitigation / Risk Management activities
- Contract Negotiation
- Management of contracts during execution stage and associated change management activities
- Ensure flow down of T&Cs to supply chain partners
Commercial Manager / Senior Commercial Manager applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Commercial Management / Contract Management experience within aerospace, defence or technology
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- The ability to develop junior commercial colleagues
- Experience of change management and contractual change
- Self-motivated, driven and energetic
- IACCM, CCMAP, LLB, LLM, Business qualification - advantageous but by no means essential
