Job description
The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for developing and managing the supply chain across the existing and new product range of my client. The most important areas for focus will be to design for cost, design for supply, design for resilience, commercial coverage. The Supply Chain Manager will work together with a number of internal stakeholders as well as external suppliers.
The roles and responsibilities for the role -
Category Management of main categories
Analytics and Spend Management to includecost reduction, inventory reduction, spend and supplier consolidation
Define opportunities for cost reduction within existing and new product range. Re-negotiate contracts, expand distribution value add, consolidate opportunities to maximise economies of scale.
Draft and implement contracts and service level agreements.
Manage bills of materials across all products
Supplier Relationship Management - develop and implement supplier governance framework
The ideal canidate for the role will have -
Proven work experience in Procurement, Sourcing or Supply Chain Manager ideally from a manufacturing organisation.
Ability to interpret BOMs and mechanical drawings.
Familiar with sourcing strategies and supplier management tools.
Project management skills with ability to problem-solve.
Ability to negotiate and sustain good working relationships with suppliers.
Understanding of basic contractual principles, comfortable drafting and implementing agreements
