The Job
The production planner will be responsible for the timely release and control of all Works Order, Inventory
Transactions, printing, completion and close, supporting planning at my clients site the role will liaise with Engineering, Purchasing, Sales, and Manufacturing disciplines, the planner will report directly to the Planning Manager.
Location - Near horsham
Salary - £30 - 35k plus benefits
The roles and responsibilities will include but not limited to -
Analyses the daily create/release report generated from MRP/ERP system and processes
Create/release/reschedule in a timely manner
Commits Inventory
Distributes Shop Packets to Manufacturing Cell / Stores.
Monitors progress through production and updates sales team with any issues.
Processes scrap and transacts component replacements
Processes 'Pick Material' Just in Time methodology.
Bring ideas to management and implements necessary process improvements.
The ideal candidate for this role will have -
Advanced Microsoft analytical skills desired but not essential.
Experience in a high mix/low volume pull-based manufacturing environment.
Capability to respond quickly, decisively, assertively, and professionally to changing
requirements in demand.
Ability to organise, schedule, coordinate and set priorities in a manner which ensures
maximum performance and goal accomplishment.
Good understanding of MRP/ERP systems and the ability to apply to manufacturing
processes.
Ability to work with several projects simultaneously
