A global manufacturer require a Buyer (Purchasing Analyst). The role is a blend of procurement (supplier management., negotiation), supply chain coordination and analytical work (intermediate MS Excel skills, and familiarity with MS Access required).
The Buyer (Purchasing Analyst) will join a large team of Buyer and Senior Buyers. Hybrid working options are available.
Specific duties of the Buyer (Purchasing Analyst) include:
- Coordination and expedition of supplier deliveries into manufacturing facilities
- Supplier selection, negotiation and relationship management activities for assigned commodity
- Analysis of procurement and supply chain data to help the department make data driven decisions
- Creation of procurement reports, spreadsheets and dashboards
- Support Senior Buyers and Procurement Manager in pursuit of cost down targets
Buyer applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Experience in a procurement, purchasing or supply chain role
- Strong analytical and IT skills - MS Excel, MS Access or MRP/ERP system
- Ability to contribute to strategic procurement activities
- Desire to build a progressive career within procurement
- Comfortable with hybrid working
