Job description
What You'll Be Doing:
As a Buyer, you'll take on a vital role in ensuring our production and service teams have the materials they need to meet customer expectations. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Creating and managing purchase orders for materials, services, and subcontracting activities to meet production timelines.
- Collaborating closely with internal departments to align on delivery schedules and manage supplier relationships.
- Supporting the business by ensuring product availability and maintaining accurate master data, such as contract agreements, delivery lead times, and order quantities.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring that deliveries and stock levels align with business needs.
- Ensuring all products and services meet the required quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Managing SAP master data for designated part numbers and commodities.
- Regularly reviewing supplier performance to drive improvements in delivery times and product quality.
- Preparing monthly supplier scorecards and participating in supplier performance reviews.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and contributing to operational efficiency.
Additional Details:
- Occasional travel within the UK and potentially to Europe may be required.
