Sales & Marketing Director - Construction/Infrastructure
Location: London, NW10 (with national remit)
Salary /Package: £100 - 130k plus Bonus
Contract Type: Permanent
Are you a commercial leader with a deep understanding of workforce supply in the construction and infrastructure space? Do you thrive on winning high-value contracts and nurturing key client relationships?
Our client, a prominent player in the UK's construction sector, is seeking a Sales & Marketing Director to lead their national growth strategy across key markets including rail, highways, civils, energy, and M&E.
This is a pivotal leadership role, perfect for someone who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on business development and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Strategy & Growth
- Lead the national sales strategy, targeting Tier 1 contractors, JVs, public bodies, and developers.
- Identify and pursue high-value framework, tender, and contract opportunities aligned with operational strengths.
- Champion brand visibility and market penetration through smart marketing and candidate attraction strategies.
Client Engagement & Relationship Building
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across procurement, operations, and project delivery teams.
- Promote the company's people-first, compliance-led approach and its outstanding market reputation.
- Represent the business at industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities to generate long-term pipeline growth.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with recruitment, operations, commercial, and compliance teams to ensure seamless onboarding and mobilisation of new accounts.
- Lead and mentor the Key Accounts team to maintain continuity and excellence in client service.
- Support bid submissions, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.
Leadership & Reporting
- Sit at the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) table, influencing business strategy with market intelligence and insight.
- Report on pipeline performance, growth KPIs, client wins, and account transitions.
- Lead and inspire the Sales & Key Accounts team, setting high standards for customer engagement and operational excellence.
What We're Looking For
- Extensive experience in business development or key account management within construction, labour supply, recruitment, or infrastructure.
- A proven track record of securing long-term frameworks, tenders, or major contracts.
- Strategic thinker with excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Ability to influence across multiple business functions and deliver joined-up client solutions.
- Confident, credible communicator - comfortable at boardroom level and on site.
- Full UK Driving Licence and ability to travel nationally.
