My client have a fantastic opportunity to join their successful planning team as a permanent Supply Planner
The primary position of the planner is to take ownership and accountability of a portfolio of products. The role is to manage the end-to-end process of these products to maintain a customer service level to an agreed target level.
Location - Fareham
Salary - Competative
The roles & responsibilities of the planner will be -
Review and monitor inventory health to deliver an agreed level of inventory (between safety stock and target level).
Develop and execute replenishment plans to maintain service and inventory level commitments.
Proactively use exception based messages to expedite or cancel orders when necessary.
Examine product backorders to identify priorities of critical items and provide detailed recovery plans to Senior Management at the global backorder call.
Deliver Root cause analysis; manage discussion with relevant parties and agree corrective action plan.
Create planning reports accurately and in a timely manner (i.e. in transit report, backorder report and open order report).
The ideal candidate for the role will have -
Knowledge of Supply Chain Systems & Processes
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word and Power-point
Ability to understand and analyse highly complex material.
Strong communication skills - at customer and supplier level.
Good organisation and prioritisation skills.
Strong experience within supply chain environment.
Working knowledge of supply chain planning parameters.
Experience in collaboration with the key stakeholders E.G. supply chain, manufacturing, operations and commercial functions.
