My client are a technical manufcaturing company based globally who have a fantastic opportunity to join there supply chain team.
The role will be to develop, implement and lead regional EMEA sourcing strategies which will provide superior products; optimize supply base and provide improved customer service level via speed and continuity of supply. Develop an appropriate risk mitigation strategy through an appropriate supplier network whilst reducing risk.
Provide leadership for region to ensure effective deployment of Global Sourcing strategies, including processes, systems and measures by influencing and changing to regional requirements. Review supply chain network and lead the redesign implementation to improve efficiencies and streamline processes.
Working across a highly matrixed organization this role will need to be able to work collaboratively with multiple functional teams such as Commodity Managers, Project Procurement Leads, Project Pursuits and PMO, Engineering etc. Support and drive the continuous improvements and implementation of supply chain initiatives

The roles and responsibilities are -
Research and benchamark current commodity market conditions/trends, developing technologies, supply chain capacity/capability, product knowledge, customer requirements and supply/demand challenges
Guide the selection, development and management of Strategic Suppliers to meet performance goals
Develop and implement strategies including supplier assesments and rationalization, negotiation for best total cost of ownership, make Vs. buy analyses, cycle time improvements, security of supply, supplier diversity, commodity roadmaps
Lead the delivery and optimization of all regional sourcing and supply chain processes
Identify new opportunities for value add creations
Strong commercial acumen. You always have sight of the bigger picture
Challenge the status quo and champions new initiatives
Paves the way for needed changes and manages implementation effectively
Use facts, data, analytical tools to evangelize change in process and behaviors
The ideal candidate for the role would be -
Degree in Engineering or Business preferred
Minimum 7 - 10 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain Management or related experience (in leading/managerial position)
Experience from international environment preferred
Fluent in English; knowledge of other languages represent a plus
Excellent PC skills (i.e. Microsoft office with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint)
Aptitude for logical thinking with strong business acumen
Strong project management skills including analytical and problem solving capabilities
Demonstrated strategic skills and proven success working under pressure
Tact and diplomacy, interpersonal communication skills are essential
Travel is required
