The Supply Planner role is to be responsible for the maintenance, analysis and coordination of supply planning within the business, with a key focus on regular ordering and strong supplier management and relationships.

The roles and responsibilities of the planning role will be -

Responsible for ensuring inbound stock is maintained at an efficient level, ensuring that inbound levels by SKU is aligned with departmental targets for availability and budget.

Responsible for supplier relationship management

Responsible for the accurate purchasing data management across the department

Responsible for coordinating import and exports from and to China, alongside the Warehouse and Facilities Manager, to ensure that returns are conforming with UK export & Chinese Import standards and supplier documentation is completed

Management of international suppliers / manufacturers to ensure optimum performance

Responsible for the efficient booking of deliveries into the warehouse, working alongside the Warehouse and Facilities Manager

Responsible for company air freight quotations and ensuring end-to-end management of all air freight shipments

Responsible for chasing all open outstanding Purchase Orders, expediting where applicable/ possible, and ensuring the on-time shipping by suppliers.

Provide the Inventory Controller with business analysis to support negotiation with international transport providers and negotiate best available terms.

Monitor the progress of all shipments (air, sea or courier), taking overall responsibility for the maintenance of relevant system information, and the communication of any delays or improvements to all of the internal stakeholders.

Resolve all supplier issues, and ensure supplier information is current, accurate and communicated to all concerned e.g cost prices, supplier entity details, MOQ, lead time.

Manage enquiries from the Sales Support team.

Help find alternative solutions to enquiries, and proactively problem solve issues which may arise.

The ideal candidate for the role will have -

High levels of attention to detail, meticulous and rigorous in process.

Creative, resourceful and able to think independently, with a constant desire to improve.

Strong Interpersonal & Stakeholder management skills

Proven planning and analytical skills, high standard of numeracy
