The Job

A leading retail organisation require a Supply Chain Improvement Manager. Applicants need experience of supply chain process improvement and supply chain optimisation, within a retail or FMCG business.

The Supply Chain Improvement Manager will be responsible for optimising stock availability across all channels. Working closely with stakeholders across the group, the Supply Chain Improvement Manager will review old and introduce new processes around; inventory management, range change, stock flows and NPD, to optimise availability. A strategic and important role within the group, the Supply Chain Improvement Manager will lead and be supported by a team of analysts.

Specific duties of the Supply Chain Improvement Manager include:

  • Introduction of new tools, reporting and governance to optimise the supply chain and stock levels
  • Develop an inventory management plan to accommodate, range change, stock flows, NPD etc.
  • Identify risks and opportunities to stock flows and stock availability across all channels
  • Provide leadership and development opportunities to analysts
  • Work cross-functionally with stakeholders in; Finance, Supply Chain and Logistics

Specific duties of the Supply Chain Improvement Manager include:

  • Experience of, supply chain optimisation, inventory optimisation or supply chain process improvement
  • Experience working within an Omni-channel retail, or FMCG business
  • Strong knowledge of Supply Chain Planning principles - Demand Planning, Forecasting, Replenishment etc.
  • An appreciation of stock flows within a retail or FMCG business, and how to optimise
  • Leadership abilities and gravitas
