My client have a fantastic opportunity for a production planner to join them on a permanent bais.


Experience in a planning capacity ideally with MRP experience

The Job

The position of the production planner will become a key role in the ongoing accurate administration and use of an MRP system.

Location - Chichester

Salary - £25 - 30k (dependant on experience)

The roles and responsibilties of the production planner will be -

Working alongside the Production Supervisors/charge hands to ensure that product is manufactured in line with the manufacturing programme and where necessary expediting Work Orders through the manufacturing process to ensure Customer delivery requirements are achieved in line with Company Objectives and Company/Customer KPI's.

Review and analyse the ERP collection data and become competent in the creation/amendment of the product manufacturing router system and the manufacture resource planning/scheduling (MRP) system.

Working alongside the Buyer to ensure that materials, components and ancillary equipment/tooling are procured to support the manufacturing programme.

Working alongside the Production Supervisors to ensure the Health & Safety (H&S), Personal Equipment Protection (PEP) and Safe work/Operating Process procedures are followed to ensure a safe working environment is maintained together with the development of displays to improve employee morale, quality awareness and self-motivation.

Working alongside the Training Coordinator, Supervisors and the Quality Department, to manage the Company training programme to improve flexibility/efficiency and competence.

Working alongside the Production Supervisors to improve the work space, tooling storage and maintenance of equipment and services.

The ideal candidate for the role will have -

The ideal candidate would have some engineering or manufacturing experience and be looking to progress into Production Management.

Effective verbal and written communication skills, the ability to be a team player and lead by example.

Excellent IT skills, particularly databases and spreadsheets.
