The Job

A high-tech manufacturing business require a Supply Chain Manager to join their site leadership team. Applicants need end-to-end supply chain management expertise, a deep understanding of MRP and LEAN methods.

The Supply Chain Manager will play a leading role in the site leadership team, developing/delivering site supply chain strategy and objectives. The role would suit Supply Chain Manager, Procurement or Purchasing Manager level candidates with a proven track record within fast-paced manufacturing or engineering environments. This a fantastic, end-to-end supply chain opportunity, encompassing; procurement, supplier management, inventory management, planning and NPI.

Specific duties of the Supply Chain Manager include:

  • Lead site focused procurement activity
  • Work with Commodity Managers to support the development of global procurement strategies
  • Supplier introduction, management and rationalisation
  • Contract Management
  • Contribute to the development of site S&OP process
  • Implement inventory planning and forecasting tools
  • Work with; Design, Quality and Customers in regards to NPI
  • Ownership of Supply Chain department data

Supply Chain Manager applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Experience as a Supply Chain Manager, Materials Manager, Purchasing or Procurement Manager
  • Experience within a fast-paced, manufacturing or engineering business
  • Deep understanding of planning using MRP
  • Strong understanding of S&OP, forecasting and supply chain planning activity
  • Knowledge of LEAN methodologies
  • An appetite for change and process improvement
