An international technical manufacturing and Engineering organisation seeks to recruit a Production Planner / Production Scheduler join on a permanent basis.

Proven experience as a Production Planner or sililar planning role within a technical manufacturing environment.

The Job

Exciting new Production Planner / Production Scheduler opportunity to work for a Large Technical manufacturing company based in High Wycombe. We require an enthusiastic team player with previous Production Planning / Materials Planning / Scheduling experience within the technical manufacturing environment.

The Production Planner / Materials Planner with work closely with Procurement and manufacturing operations, executing planning activities in line with lean inventory, production and procurement strategies for materials, managing capacity planning and scheduling for production.

This role will be reporting directly into the Planning Manager.

Type - Permanent position

Salary - £25,000 - £40,000 (DOE)

Location - High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire

Key responsibilities for Production Planner / Materials Planner / Production Scheduler / Materials Scheduler and not limited to:

  • Planning and scheduling material in accordance with the needs of master production schedule
  • Finite capacity planning and scheduling of internal manufacturing operations
  • Producing and release internal work order schedules and monitor performance to plan
  • Develop production schedule to achieve the requirements of the master production schedule
  • Ability to read and understand drawings
  • Work with Engineering to identify alternative parts to support production requirements and drive cost and inventory reduction
  • Construct and maintain planning BOM

Key skills required for Production Planner / Materials Planner / Production Scheduler/ Materials Scheduler applicant:

  • Technical manufacturing background
  • Have detailed knowledge of manufacturing planning, inventory control, materials requirements planning
  • MRP system experience is essential
  • Strong analytical skills
  • IT Literate
