The Role

A vacancy has arisen for a Supply Chain Manager to join BAE Systems - Submarine Solutions for an initial 14 month contract.

The role holder would be managing two teams within Submarine Support Services.

Role Responsibilities:

Not limited to...

• Provide safety and quality leadership via the SHE and Quality infrastructure and visual management. Actively promote improvements both individually and within the team.
• Ensure personal and team compliance with all role related processes and/or internal and external regulatory requirements.
• Actively seek out and identify risks and opportunities for improvement, implementing as appropriate. Continuously review, challenge, drive and lead on process improvements.
• Effectively manage and adhere to budget (direct & overhead), working in collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Actively promote PDR and MPR compliance to ensure that the performance and behaviours are conducive to the delivery of the team's performance targets.
• Establish and maintain an effective team, ensuring clear goals are set and appraised, and facilitate a culture which is aligned to the company's vision and values.
• Ensure relevant targets are delivered by regularly reviewing, reporting on progress and resolving issues.
• Firmly support and embed engagement and communication strategies.
• Ensure team works collaboratively across the functions to resolve problems, achieve objectives and deliver high standards of performance.
• Lead by example in conforming to model behaviours, people and process management.
• Ensure that a customer focused approach is firmly embedded across all teams.

• Have significant Supply Chain experience.
• Have experience with managing people.
• Have experience with major projects.
• Enjoy managing complex and challenging situations.

Security Requirements: SC & UK EYES ONLY

This role will require the person to hold full Security Clearance (SC) prior to working onsite. You will need to obtain a BPSS check as part of this process. You must currently hold or be eligible and willing to obtain SC and you must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship and have lived and worked in the UK for a minimum 5 year period. The Umbrella rate quoted above is the Gross Umbrella rate (i.e. the rate we pay to the Umbrella Company inclusive of ALL employment costs).
