Job description

In this key role, you'll provide high-quality financial and management accounting services, partnering with senior stakeholders and directorates to ensure accurate reporting, sound decision-making, and continuous improvement across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver timely and effective management accounting services and reports
• Partner with internal directorates to support financial decision-making
• Provide professional financial advice and identify areas for improvement
• Support and enhance finance processes, systems, and compliance
• Produce monthly management accounts, monitoring reports and statutory returns
• Assist with year-end processes and external audits
• Train and guide stakeholders on financial procedures and systems
• Work closely with senior stakeholders and external partners

Required Skills, Qualifications and Attributes:

• Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience
• Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant (CIPFA, CIMA, ACA, ACCA)
• Excellent communication, analysis and stakeholder engagement skills
• Working knowledge of public sector finance, regulations, and governance
