Our client, a leading manufacturer in their field are currently seeking a Junior supply chain professional to join their team on a permanent basis.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of procurement strategies defined by the Head of Department.
  • Forecast and manage stock orders to meet business demands.
  • Assist in the implementation and optimisation of planning software.
  • Support in contract lifecycle management, including drafting, negotiation, and execution.
  • Help identify and implement best-value purchasing opportunities within assigned categories.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to enhance the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of goods and services delivery.
  • Support the tendering process, including document preparation, bid evaluation, and contract awards.
  • Conduct regular supplier and contract reviews in line with strategic goals.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience with a background in supply chain or procurement (manufacturing experience is a plus).
  • Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders and suppliers at all levels.
  • Analytical skills, with the ability to assess data, market trends, and risks.
  • Detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy and compliance in contracts and audits.
  • Adaptable, eager to learn, and ready to support changing priorities.
  • Organised, able to prioritise effectively, and thrive under pressure.
  • Skilled at building rapport and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.
