Job description

Our client is seeking a skilled Finance Manager to join their Central Overheads team in Luton on a 6 month contract basis. This dynamic role promises a stimulating environment where financial expertise will be pivotal to the success of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage overhead costs for key business areas such as Finance, Insurance, Legal, and Group Markets
• Act as the primary finance contact for the Workday optimisation project
• Steer strategic and annual planning for overhead costs
• Create budgets, forecasts, and detailed monthly reports
• Lead cost-saving initiatives and evaluate business cases
• Provide insights on potential financial risks and opportunities
• Maintain and enhance relationships with different business functions
• Guide junior team members to achieve financial targets

Job Requirements:

• Full qualification in finance or a related field
• Prior experience using Workday is advantageous
• Experience with overhead processes in a large company
• Strong analytical abilities, particularly in variance analysis
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with stakeholders
• Proficiency in Excel, including macros; familiarity with TM1 is an advantage
• Proactive and solution-focused attitude
