Are you a skilled and driven Project Manager ready to lead exciting initiatives in procurement? Join a dynamic team where you'll make a significant impact across the product lifecycle while driving key strategies in a collaborative environment.
Position: Procurement Project Lead
Salary: Circa £60,000 (Dependent on experience)
Location: Stevenage/Bolton (Relocation package available)
Working Arrangement: Hybrid - 2 days per week on-site
Security Clearance: British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship
About the Role:
As a Procurement Project Lead, you'll be instrumental in managing and delivering critical projects within the Procurement and Supply Chain function. Your role will encompass strategic planning, execution, and implementation of innovative frameworks that align with business objectives and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee project lifecycles from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, and quality benchmarks.
- Support procurement and supply chain teams to optimize project delivery.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, risk registers, and budgets.
- Serve as the primary procurement liaison within programme teams, providing status updates and insights to leadership.
- Lead key procurement reviews and manage lifecycle tasks to achieve project goals.
- Apply advanced project management tools like MS Project and Primavera for effective execution.
- Offer expert guidance on project management practices and methodologies.
What We're Looking For:
- Demonstrated project management experience, with Aerospace or Defence backgrounds being advantageous.
- Recognized project management qualifications.
- Strong understanding of procurement principles, including supplier evaluation, category management, and risk mitigation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in data analysis and presentation creation.
- Exceptional communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills.
