Job description
Our client, a leading provider of engineering training, is currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Electrical Engineering Instructor to join their team in Havant or Cosham office. This permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the development of future engineers.
About the Role:

Their apprenticeship programmes have helped thousands of people kick-start their careers and become successful engineers.
Due to continued business growth, our client is looking to expand their team with a new Mechanical Engineering Coach/Assessor at their specialist engineering centre in Havant. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality training to young learners, apprentices, and corporate clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching and mentoring individuals in technical engineering skills
- Developing and preparing appropriate schemes of work and lesson plans
- Planning, preparing, and undertaking assessments of competence against awarding body standards
- Ensuring all relevant paperwork related to training and assessments is completed accurately and on time
- Providing advice, guidance, and support to corporate clients
- Ensuring the immediate reporting of accidents
Job Requirements:
- Level 3 Engineering Qualification
- Extensive Engineering experience gained in industry
- Level 2 literacy and numeracy
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Full driving licence and use of own car
Desirable Requirements:
- NVQ/QCF Assessor qualification
- Teaching qualification
- Experience of working in a learning environment
- Good understanding of apprenticeship frameworks
Please note: As you will be working with learners from 16 years plus through to clients attending commercial courses, the ability to relate to and communicate well with a wide age range is crucial. A DBS Registration and Disclosure is required.
