Job description

The role:
As an Electrical Engineering Instructor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting a cohort of apprentices working towards industry-led standards. You will join the specialist Engineering division based at the training centre in Havant and you will spend the majority of your week providing high quality training to young learners, apprentices, and corporate clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching and mentoring individuals technical engineering skills
- Develop and prepare appropriate schemes of work and lesson plans for the subject
- Plan, prepare and undertake assessments of competence against the awarding body standard
- Ensure that all relevant paperwork relating to training and assessments as well as company business is completed on time and accurately
- Providing advice, guidance, and support to corporate clients
- Utilize your hands-on engineering experience and training qualifications to support learners effectively.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience in an electrical engineering role is essential.
- Teaching/Assessing qualification is desirable (my client will fund this if not held)
- Ability to relate to and communicate effectively with learners aged 16 and above.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational skills with effective time management.
- Accurate report writing and record-keeping skills
Full driving license and access to own car is essential for this role as you will be travelling across the region. Right to work in the UK and a DBS check will also be required for this role.
