Job description
Our client, a distinguished company within the Transmission and Distribution (T & D) sector, is currently seeking a Substations Training Lead to join their team. This permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to play a key part in the development and delivery of training programmes focusing on substations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing effective training programmes related to substations
- Ensuring the training materials are up-to-date and in line with industry standards
- Assessing the training needs and developing strategies to meet those requirements
- Delivering high-quality training sessions to various stakeholders
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of training programmes
- Collaborating with subject matter experts to enhance training content
- Maintaining records of training activities and conducting follow-up assessments
- Adhering to safety and compliance regulations during training delivery
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience maintaining substation equipment and applying relevant safety precautions
- A keen interest in training others
- Level 3 Engineering qualification
- Knowledge of National Grid Safety Rules and NSI's.
- Previous training or coaching experience would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong organisational and record-keeping skills
- Team-oriented with the ability to work collaboratively
- UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
