Job description

Our client, a leader in offender learning, is currently seeking a Business Tutor to join their educational team at HMP Thameside in Greenwich, London. This permanent role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a difference in learners' lives by helping them acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to set up and run their own businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing and delivering high-quality business lessons focused on helping individuals to start their own businesses
• Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement
• Assessing learners' needs and developing individualised learning plans
• Monitoring learner progress and providing constructive feedback
• Collaborating with colleagues to ensure optimal outcomes for all learners

Job Requirements:

• A teaching qualification would be desirable or equivalent subject specialist qualification
• Minimum Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
• Prior experience working with offenders
• Previous experience delivering training on starting up your own business/going self-employed
• Willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check
