Job description
Our client, a prominent entity in the Defence & Security sector, is looking for an experienced Account Specialist to join their finance team on a contract basis in Yeovil, UK. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing accounts receivable processes and supporting the Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager.
Job Purpose:
The prime purpose of this role is to raise sales invoices to international customers in a timely and accurate manner to deliver the optimum cash flow for the company. Additionally, this role will undertake investigations into international sales invoicing queries and support the AR Manager in developing systems and processes to enhance the department's output.
Key Responsibilities:
- Raise invoices and credit notes.
- Undertake invoice cancellations and cash allocations for customers within the remit.
- Conduct statement review and reconciliation with commercial managers.
- Support the AR Manager with customer debt review for customers within the remit.
- Review unallocated cash for customers within the remit.
- Undertake ad hoc invoicing as required and analysis of accounts directed by the AR Manager.
- Cover for the AR Manager with daily cash sheets and for other AR specialists during periods of absence.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in finance and accounting.
- Technical knowledge and experience in accounting/commercial administration.
- Excellent customer interface, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in PC skills, team collaboration, and numeric abilities.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage workflows effectively.
- An understanding of the Defence & Security sector would be advantageous.
