Job description
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the establishment of a new Contracts Database for the company.
- Review and provide the business with commercial support in relation to confidentiality agreements.
- Administrating and ensuring due diligence activities are up-to-date for Intermediary Agreements and relevant registers are maintained.
- Reviewing and summarising key contract clauses within existing contracts or new contracts under negotiation in conjunction with company policies.
- Work closely with other business functions within the company such as Business Development, Inside Sales, Programme Management, Engineering, Quality Assurance and Export Control to gain agreement regarding relevant customer contract requirements.
- Support bids under the guidance of the Head of Contracts & Commercial to support responses to customer ITT's and RFQ's. Completion of internal documents to support the internal approval of Bids. Sales Contracts and other business agreements.
Outline of Competencies:
- Ability to manage time and workload priorities appropriately.
- Ability to liaise and have good verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications and Experience required:
- Degree or equivalent in Law or Business Studies.
- Contract Law knowledge would be a distinct advantage.
- International commercial awareness - highly desirable but not essential desirable.
- Experience in a Defence Contracting environment - desirable but not essential.
- UK MoD & US DoD Contracts knowledge - desirable but not essential.
Key Measures:
- Timely updates to various commercial registers - <3 working days.
- Meeting bid deadlines.
- Review of confidentiality agreements - < 3 working days
