Job description
Global engineering business require a Supply Chain Planner to take ownership of the demand planning data in the ERP system. Applicants need purchasing, supply chain or logistics experience, data analysis skills and strong competency in MS Excel.
The Supply Chain Planner will own and manage data held in the demand planning module of the ERP system. Working as part of a large supply chain planning team, the Supply Chain Planner will ensure customer requirements are accurately reflected in the ERP system to enable effective forecasting.
Specific duties of the Supply Chain Planner include:
- Upload customer demand into the ERP system
- Download demand from customer web portals
- Analysis of forecast and purchase orders
- Daily use of MS Excel - Pivot tables, Pivot Charts, Vlookup, Formulas (sumif, whatif, countif)
- Advise colleagues of significant increases/decreases in demand
- Seek to improve, develop and automate demand planning processes
Supply Chain Planner applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Experience working in; supply chain, demand planning, logistics or purchasing
- Strong MS Excel skills, competence with Pivot tables, Pivot Charts, Vlookup, Formulas (sumif, whatif, countif)
- Ability to analyse data
- Professional and detail-orientated
- Comfortable being site based every day
