Job description


Our client, a prominent player in the procurement supply chain sector, is seeking a dedicated Procurement Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. With flexible working arrangements, you will be based either in Stevenage or Bolton, contributing to the strategic sourcing and procurement activities within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and overseeing procurement activities to ensure value for money and compliance
  • Developing and implementing procurement strategies to optimise cost savings
  • Negotiating contracts with suppliers to secure favourable terms
  • Monitoring supplier performance and ensuring adherence to agreed terms
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to align procurement activities with business objectives
  • Managing the procurement budget and tracking expenses
  • Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Maintaining accurate records of procurement activities and transactions

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience in procurement management
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Excellent understanding of procurement processes and best practices
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external suppliers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Eligibility for SC clearance and at least a British passport; dual nationals can be considered
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
