Job description
Our client, a prominent player in the procurement supply chain sector, is seeking a dedicated Procurement Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. With flexible working arrangements, you will be based either in Stevenage or Bolton, contributing to the strategic sourcing and procurement activities within the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and overseeing procurement activities to ensure value for money and compliance
- Developing and implementing procurement strategies to optimise cost savings
- Negotiating contracts with suppliers to secure favourable terms
- Monitoring supplier performance and ensuring adherence to agreed terms
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to align procurement activities with business objectives
- Managing the procurement budget and tracking expenses
- Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Maintaining accurate records of procurement activities and transactions
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience in procurement management
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Excellent understanding of procurement processes and best practices
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external suppliers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
- Eligibility for SC clearance and at least a British passport; dual nationals can be considered
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
