Our client, a leader in the infrastructure/utilities sector, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Supply Chain Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

Job description

This role offers an exciting opportunity to partner with various departments, ensuring that exceptional procurement decisions are made to drive commercial savings and add value to the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure customer needs are met and support the supply chain strategy
  • Deliver sustainable cost reductions, operational efficiency's, and supplier performance improvements
  • Manage category and suppliers, from tendering to contract planning and negotiation
  • Develop and promote a culture of continuous improvement within the supply chain team
  • Implement procurement and supplier performance monitoring systems
  • Manage long-term strategic relationships with key suppliers
  • Support, mentor, and coach apprentices

Job Requirements:


We are looking for someone who can demonstrate substantial experience in supply chain and procurement management, including contract and supplier management. You must also have:

  • CIPS accreditation (minimum level 5)
  • Experience in running tenders, reducing costs, and fostering productive relationships with stakeholders
  • Proven ability to conduct comparison analysis and produce actionable recommendations
  • Strong communication skills, including active listening, curiosity, and diplomacy
  • Commercial awareness, computer literacy, and attention to detail
  • Experience with NEC contracts
