Job description

About the Role:

In this role, you will spearhead a campaign to advance and secure substantial opportunities in the defence sector, focusing on strategic services and enablers. Building on recent successes, you will lead the campaign team to enhance strategic positioning, define and drive the campaign strategy, and manage the complete sales lifecycle. You will ensure that clients are fully informed about the company's capabilities and provide crucial customer feedback to the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactive business development from requirements identification through to order closure.
  • Management of internal and external stakeholders to drive successful sales outcomes.
  • Owning and managing a rolling 5-year forecast to accurately project future business planning.
  • Identifying and implementing partnering strategies to secure beneficial positions with partners.
  • Aligning with delivery project teams to support project mobilisation, stakeholder management, and contract amendments.

Job Requirements:


Essential:

  • Experience within the procurement cycle for large-scale (£20m+) and complex projects with the UK Ministry of Defence.
  • Proven ability to build trust with customers and partners, fostering long-term relationships.
  • Knowledge of UK MoD organisations and structures, and the ability to align them with products and services.


Desirable:

  • A track record of bidding and winning large-scale projects with the UK Ministry of Defence.
  • Understanding of UKStratCom's procurement of Strategic Services and R&D.
  • Experience with service-oriented contracting models and bidding frameworks.
  • An existing network of contacts within MoD Strategic Services and the wider industry ecosystem.
  • Experience acting as a capture lead on major complex captures.

Clearances:

Due to the nature of this role, eligibility for DV Clearance is required. Candidates must be sole British nationals by birth and have resided in the UK for the last 10 years.
