Actively seeking an experienced Senior Contract Manager to join a leading Defence organisation based in Reading.

We are seeking an immediately available Senior Contract Manager who is a well-rounded in public procurement and complex contract management, with strong stakeholder management skills and experience with conflict/conflict resolution.

This exciting hybrid role will be supporting a well known Defence organisation in Reading on a 12 month contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement the Supplier Relationship Management framework for assigned key suppliers
• Support procurement activity through providing best practice contact advice to develop contract templates and bespoke terms.
• Leading contract negotiations
• Monitor and mitigate supplier risks
• Ensure contract control systems are robust and suitable to support all post contract commitments and satisfying the reporting/governance processes.
• Act as subject matter expert for assigned contracts, providing professional advice to enable business to effectively deliver contract objectives.

Key Requirements:

• Public procurement experience
• Experience working in a highly regulated/specialised background, e.g., bio hazard, nuclear waste (desirable)
• Complex contract experience
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Holds SC clearance
