Job description
Our client, a prestigious provider of training and apprenticeships in the electrical engineering sector, is currently seeking an Electrical Trainer Assessor to join their established team in Portsmouth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering high-quality training sessions in electrical engineering to small groups of learners (12-14 students)
- Conducting on-site training four days a week, with one day allocated to administrative tasks either from home or office
- Assessing and providing feedback on learner progress and competence
- Guiding apprentices through their qualifications, ensuring all educational standards are met
- Collaborating with the existing electrical team to develop and improve course materials
- Engaging with learners to support their educational and professional development
- Participating in internal meetings and contributing to the continuous improvement of training programmes
- Preparing and delivering presentations as part of a robust interview process
Job Requirements:
- Experience in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on practical, hands-on knowledge
- Relevant qualifications, including C&G 5357 level 3 Electrical
- A passion for teaching and mentoring the next generation of electrical engineers
- Ability to deliver engaging and informative training sessions
- Proficiency in carrying out assessments and providing constructive feedback
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Comfortable with on-site working
- Ability to work well within a team, contributing to a supportive learning environment
