Job description

International food producer require a Procurement Manager. Applicants need procurement experience within the Food industry and ideally have sourced raw materials and ingredients. The Procurement Manager will lead a team of 4.

Reporting into a Group Procurement Director the Procurement Manager will be responsible for ensuring good quality raw materials are sourced and delivered to the factory in a timely fashion. The role has 4 direct reports.

Specific duties of the Procurement Manager include:

• Lead, support, develop and coach a procurement team of planners and administrators
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers
• Work with Procurement Director develop procurement strategies across direct food raw materials
• Review supplier and raw materials specs
• Drive supplier performance and manage supplier relationships
• Support NPD activities from a procurement perspective

Procurement Manager applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Procurement or Supply Chain experience in the Food industry
• Previous experience in the procurement of food raw materials and ingredients
• Ability to manage, lead and develop a team
• Stakeholder skills
• Positive, out-going, self-starter
