Job description

Our client, a distinguished player in the motorcycle industry, is currently seeking a Buyer for a 6-month contract position. This is an on-site role requiring full-time commitment, working closely with the Head of After-sales Procurement, Procurement Leads, and Senior Buyers

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaising with suppliers to negotiate and secure value for money on the company's Genuine Parts and Accessories range.
• Building effective stakeholder relationships, ensuring a high service level in terms of quotations, quality compliance and communication.
• Identifying savings opportunities through tenders, negotiations, and efficiency's.
• Responsible for the implementation of design changes.
• Utilising multiple applications and systems to deliver accurate metrics, reporting and data.
• To undertake and assist with projects as required by your manager.

Job Requirements:

• Proficient experience in procurement and buying within a supply chain context.
• Sourcing and negotiation experience and supplier relationship management.
• Strong understanding of stock management principles
• Ability to source and manage a diverse range of commodity groups
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Experience in working within a coordinated global supply chain environment.
• Experience within an automotive or motorcycle industry
• Proficient in Microsoft Packages including Excel, Access, Word and Outlook.
• Completion of relevant degree, achieving 2:1 or above.
