Job description

Position: HR Generalist (Maternity Cover)
Location: Bishopstoke, Eastleigh, Hampshire.
Duration: 12 months
Hours per Week: Part-time (29 hours per week, with flexibility in how these are worked)
Pay Rate: £22.19 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver best practice HR solutions to improve performance and operational effectiveness.
• Implement HR strategies, including compensation and benefits, training, recruitment programs, and employee relations.
• Administer absence management processes and provide guidance on the Absence Control Procedure.
• Coordinate the recruitment process, including CV screening, interviews, and drafting offers of employment.
• Manage onboarding and induction processes in line with UK policies.
• Handle employee relations issues, supporting managers with investigations, problem resolution, and corrective actions.
• Administer monthly payroll, maintaining data in TMS and Workday.

Qualifications and Skills:

• CIPD qualification (level 5) is preferable.
• Proven generalist HR experience, ideally within an operational environment (e.g., logistics or manufacturing).
• Experience with trade unions and working in a unionised environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to handle formal situations like disciplinary hearings.
• High proficiency in Excel.
• Self-managed and able to handle a high workload.
• Experience using Workday.

Working Hours and Flexibility:

• Core hours: 10:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Flexibility with hours outside of core times
