Job description

Our client, a leading company in the Mobility sector, is seeking a talented Financial Controller to join their team. As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial management of the organisation, ensuring the timely preparation of financial information, providing advice and leadership to the business, and maintaining robust financial systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the financial side of the month-end process and group accounts reporting, including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow, and variance analysis
• Support and manage the transactional team in the preparation and review of financial forecasts
• Ensure the financial management and oversight of the business, including key control implementation and compliance
• Provide direction, supervision, and development of the finance team
• Manage business tax requirements, including quarterly VAT submissions and annual tax computations
• Oversee day-to-day cash management and payment review and approval
• Coordinate and oversee the annual statutory audit and ensure compliance with UK accounting regulations
• Ensure appropriate filings are made with Companies House and other government bodies

Key Requirements:

• Qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent)
• Demonstrate strong commercial awareness and knowledge of UK and international accounting regulations
• Extensive experience in developing and delivering planning and reporting systems
• A strong technical ability regarding processes and controls
• Experience in performance management and mentoring of staff
• Knowledge of SAP ERP
• Consolidation experience
