Job description

Hamble Aerostructures, part of the Aernnova Group are recruiting Buyers to support direct procurement activity for manufacturing. Applicants should be out-going, self-motivated professionals with a background in procurement as a Buyer.

The Buyers will join a large and supportive procurement team enjoying a period of growth. Procurement activity will focus on direct commodity areas for manufacturing - metallic raw materials, drawn parts, paints, sealants and associated consumable items. The environment is fast-paced and dynamic with a focus on delivery, so the Buyers will collaborate closely with the supply chain to ensure continuity of supply to achieve production schedules.

Specific duties of the Buyers, will include:

• Review, confirm availability and process purchase requisitions.
• Liaison with internal departments to drive through any QCD and planning requirements.
• End-to-end supplier order book management
• Supplier Relationship Management and development activities around OTD/OTIF metrics/KPIs
• Maintain procurement department data within MRP and MS Excel
• Escalate and expedite material shortage issues.
• Identify and qualify new suppliers for Ad-hoc requirements.
• Drive productivity opportunities with supply base to deliver cost out goals.

Buyer applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Purchasing/procurement experience as a Junior Buyer, Buyer or Senior Buyer
• Analytically minded with experience in the use of MS Excel spreadsheets and/or an MRP system
• Enthusiastic, adaptable and motivated team players
• Tenacity to challenge processes to exhaust every opportunity in achieving enablement
• Effective time management skills and he ability to manage competing demands to achieve results.
• confidence to communicate status reports and actions plans to operational and leadership teams.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
