Job description
Successful global business requires a Buyer. Applicants need procurement experience as a Buyer ideally within manufacturing, be competent in the use of MS Excel, possess commercial acumen and an appreciation of contractual T&Cs.
The Buyer will join a team of Buyers and Senior Buyers reporting to a Procurement Manager. There is a strong emphasis on supplier orderbook management, MS Excel and maintaining accurate data in the company MRP system.
Specific duties of the Buyer include:
- Management of the purchase order process
- Supplier orderbook management, own SOTIF metrics, ongoing supplier management and assessment
- Liaison with other internal departments
- Use of MS Excel (VLOOKUP) and MRP to manage inventory and forecast requirements
- Support Procurement Manager with strategic department objectives
Buyer applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Purchasing, Procurement or Buyer experience
- Familiarity with manufacturing would be advantageous, but not essential
- Intermediate MS Excel skills, in particular competence with VLOOKUP function
- Supplier management skills
- Organised, detailed orientated and self-motivated
