Position Overview:
We are seeking an energetic and passionate individual to pioneer the new role of Sales Development Representative. The Sales Development Rep will play a critical role in the growth of our organization. You will work in collaboration with sales and marketing nurturing leads and setting qualified discovery calls that ultimately lead to new business and new revenue.
Key Accountabilities:
Pipeline Generation: Proactively research and identify potential clients and key stakeholders within target industries and regions. Utilize various tools, platforms, and strategies to generate high-quality leads and expand the sales pipeline.
Qualification and Nurturing: Conduct thorough research and analysis of leads to understand their specific needs, challenges, and pain points. Engage in strategic conversations to qualify prospects and determine their potential fit for our services. Continuously nurture relationships through effective communication and follow-up activities.
Sales Outreach: Initiate contact with prospects through various channels, including phone calls, emails, social media, and networking events. Articulate our value proposition and key differentiators to educate and create interest among potential clients. Schedule appointments and virtual meetings for the sales team to further advance the sales process.
Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to align strategies, share insights, and optimize lead generation efforts. Provide regular feedback on lead quality, conversion rates, and industry trends to drive continuous improvement and refine targeting approaches.
CRM Management: Utilize our customer relationship management (CRM) system to track leads, record interactions, and maintain accurate and up-to-date prospect data. Ensure timely and accurate reporting on lead generation activities and contribute to the overall sales forecasting process.
Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities to identify potential areas for business growth. Conduct market research to gather insights on target industries, client needs, and competitive positioning.
Key competencies and experience:
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, environmental science, engineering, or a related field. (Recent college grads are encouraged to apply)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish relationships with clients.
Results-oriented mindset with a focus on meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Experience:
Experience of working within a consultative sales environment, for example within a consultancy, software, or similar environment.
Experience in working within environmental, engineering, or related industries.
Experience as a Sales Development Representative or a similar role, preferably in a consulting or professional services environment.
Experience working with a CRM system, especially MS Dynamics, would be an advantage
