Job description

Costs Financial Analyst - Southampton (permanent)

Duties:

• Responsible for monthly P&L analysis and the P&L by Programme
• Reporting and analysis of business financial and operating performance
• Reporting and forecasting of sales (weekly & monthly)
• Producing cost of sales by programme
• Analysis of operating expenses
• Quarterly forecasting
• Monthly inventory reconciliation
• Ensuring accurate costing of finished goods, raw material and work-in-progress
• Monitoring inventory levels
• Reporting on the progress of perpetual inventory and annual stocktakes
• Ensuring data is accurately extracted from system to the GL
• Update inventory standards (raw materials & rates)
• Support commercial bids rates
• Update and review audit

To be successful:

• Ideally degree educated or equivalent
• Knowledge of Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, Outlook & Power Point. Training will be provided
• Mathematical, accounting, data analysis and data entry aptitude
• 5 years accounts experience would be beneficial
• Ideally qualified accountant status but, part qualified considered
