My client have an exciting opportunity for a junior buyer/buyer to join their Purchasing team at their site near Littlehampton.

Roles & Responsibilities -
Processing procurement data, including purchase orders, contracts & orderbook management using MRP
Manage the RFQ process of material requirements for inbound sales enquiries (NPI).
Negotiating deals to get the best value / cost reduction for the company.
Implementing strategic sourcing projects and process improvements.
Understanding supplier KPIs, SLAs, and T & Cs'.
Use appropriate data to make key business decisions.
Support Category Strategies for each area of responsibility
Identify and drive cost reduction across the business.
Identify potential new suppliers and build relationships.
Stakeholder management with internal functions across the business.
The ideal candidate for the role will have -
Experience within a manufacturing environment desirable
Studying towards CIPS qualification - desirable.
Proficiency in MS Office
Demonstrable procurement experience and good negotiation skills.
Technical understanding.
Experience in building and maintaining supplier relationships.
Demonstrable ability to prioritise tasks and have effective time management and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge/use of ERP/MRP systems
