Job description

A leading pharmaceutical company are looking for a Import and export advisor. They are at the forefront of Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare and FMCG product supply. They source and supply a wide range of FMCG products across the globe.

They are looking for an experienced import and export advisor to work in their Aylesbury unit, You will be required on site mon-fri 8-5 on a permanent basis. £40,000 salary

Key responsibilities -

• Oversee and manage transport organization & handling of all local& international transports for export, import, domestic and cross-trade with all types of transport (truck, air, sea)
• Develop reports showing freight data, transportation costs with focus on reducing transportation costs, time
• Manage & report on freight forecasts to enhance interoperability with carriers, warehouses, and internal departments
• Support in the control cost and service in line with defined operating plan and work with logistics providers to deliver continuous improvements.
• Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouses, transportations
• Liaise and negotiate with Transport companies
• Meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets
• Provide in-house guidance/knowledge on product classification, HS tariff codes and custom requirements for efficient shipments

• Negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers
• Working with procurement managers and customers on product selection
• Planning and overseeing incoming and outgoing deliveries
• Overseeing logistics, warehouse and transport services
• Planning and analysing budgets and expenditures
• Enforcing industry laws and regulations and company policies
• Resolving complaints and issues regarding the supply chain
• Maintaining customer service logs and safety records
