Job description
A global leading manufacturing business is currently recruiting a Data Manager - Supply Chain & Operations to join on a fulltime permanent basis (hybrid working) in Newport.
The Data Manager (Supply Chain & Operations) will be responsible to define and apply rules for data management across operations data, systems and process.

Key responsibilities for Data Manager (Supply Chain & Operations) and will not limited to:
- To ensure the development and application of data governance policy in group and help continuous improvement
- To design and lead the data management improvement plans in order to meet the performance objectives set by the Group Business Process Manager (BPM) for each area.
- Apply data security rules and ensure that data complies with regulations (GDPR, export control, etc.)
- Create, develop and lead the community of Data Stewards within group for their process
- Define principles, rules and standards in line within the data governance framework
- Develop and maintain the data monitoring plan for the process (key data and data owners, quality requirements)
- Monitor data quality (execution, reports, communication) across group function's and processes
- Make decisions on the rules to be applied at the interfaces (especially around the critical systems( within their process and with peers responsible for other processes
- Operationally manage data-related requests (format, dictionary, quality, expertise, budget) on a daily, weekly basis
- Provide subject matter expertise on data management, policies and best practice
- Assist with reports and data extraction when needed Troubleshoot data-related problems and authorize maintenance or modifications
Key skills and experience required for Data Manager (Supply Chain & Operations) job applicant:
- Proven experience within a data management or analytical role
- Manufacturing background is preferred
- Ability to manage and working with multilevel stakeholders up to C-suite
- Able to prioritise and handle a high degree of multi-tasking
- Experience in data profiling, data quality analysis, data cleansing and master data management
