Role - Junior Buyer
Type - Permanent
Locations - Droitwich
Salary - Up to £30,000
Hybrid working
Key responsibilities for Junior Buyer and will not be limited to:
- Tactical and strategic sourcing of services, products and suppliers
- Identify cost saving opportunities such as supplier consolidation.
- Supplier relationship & contract management to ensure best value & performance.
- Maintain core preferred suppliers list, reviewing performance monthly.
- Working alongside the Procurement Manager to negotiate contracts, SLA's and determine suitable KPI's.
- Collaboration with internal customers to ensure business procurement needs are met, and in line with budget and timescales.
- Administrate support to include raising PO's, transport pricing requests & documentation.
Key skills and experience required for Junior Buyer job applicant and will not be limited to:
- Ability to understand, articulate and lead the strategic sourcing process
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Experience building supplier relationships.
- Proven experience in a procurement role.
- Good Analytical skills with the ability to manipulate large data sets using Excel.
- A strong team player with a drive to succeed.
- Experience or understanding of procuring indirect services (desirable)
- Exposure or understanding of contracts & contract management (desirable)
- CIPS Level 4 Qualified or working towards (desirable)
