The Job

A market leading organisation require an Indirect Procurement Buyer. A full lifecycle procurement role encompassing; tendering, supplier/contract management focusing on IT, technology, digital and indirect areas.

The Indirect Procurement Buyer will join an established and high-performing procurement category management team. Working closely with Category Managers, the Indirect Procurement Buyer will undertake a range of; hands-on, strategic and analytical tasks designed to drive the achievement of procurement strategies.

Specific duties of the Indirect Procurement Buyer include:

  • Run sourcing and tender activities - market testing, and supply market analysis of the IT, tech and digital space
  • Supplier management / interaction - selection, negotiating, relationship building, SRM and contract management
  • Assist the development of sourcing and category management strategies
  • Ownership of procurement department savings tracker and spend analytics
  • Collaborate with procurement leadership and stakeholders to drive governance and compliance

Indirect Procurement Buyer applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Procurement experience - ideally within the indirect, or IT, digital/tech space
  • Excellent soft skills, stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Experience of supplier management, contract management and/or negotiations
  • Desire for a progressive career within procurement category management - willingness to study CIPS etc.
  • Comfortable with hybrid working
