In this role you will manage a team of Procurement Coordinators and be their first point of call for any escalations or queries from Suppliers and internal stakeholders.

The Job

This role is a permanent role within a Marketing and events company, Hybrid working - required on site 3 days a week in Eastboure.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Supervise and manage the daily operations of the procurement process and ensure proper and timely execution of all corresponding tasks
  • Ensure compliance with the Responsible Procurement Policy
  • Review and negotiate all supplier related contracts across the business
  • Day to day leadership of the Supplier Procurement Coordinators
  • Deputise the Procurement Lead at departmental meetings
  • Team management support for other senior members of the team
  • Produce volume reporting to establish team resource requirements
  • Communicate with project stakeholders to ensure alignment of projects and expectations
  • Ensure that the business remains focussed on sustainable sourcing
  • Ability to adapt to business requirements for larger projects
  • Risk identification and mitigation, anticipating supply chain challenges
  • Drive best practice in Supply Chain and deliver continuous improvement

  • Ability to develop and maintain stakeholder and supplier relationships
  • Ability to work in dynamic, team-oriented, fast-paced environment
  • Experience drafting and negotiating contractual terms
  • Implementing change and managing complex risk
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed
  • Previous line management experience
  • Experience of project-based business
  • Previous experience of working with Sustainable practises
  • Previous experience of ISO certification requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively throughout the organisation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organisation and time management skills
  • Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail
