Our client, a leading business within the defence industry, has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Accountant to join their team at senior management level.
The role is a hybrid role with an office base near High Wycombe.
Duties include-
- Manage a small project accounting team
- Oversight of invoicing, costs, funding and cash flow
- Assess program costs and estimates on a monthly basis
- Process weekly/monthly timesheets bookings are accurate against system
- Publish status reports, analyse the costs and report risks
- Monitor cashflow reporting, analyse programs for the wider business
- Document program reports for senior management
- Produce quarterly program cost reviews within budget and forecasts
The ideal candidate-
- Previous experience of project accounting
- Problem solving skills
- Has a degree in Accounting or Finance or a professional accounting
- Understanding of GAAP and IFRS standards
- Motivated and has the ability to work independent and as a team
- Good communication and has analytical skills
- Previous experience in analysing performance able to give recommendations
