The Job
Following an exciting period of growth, an opportunity has arisen for an Indirect Buyer to join a growing procurement team at this fast-paced & dynamic manufacturing business. The role would suit someone with at least 3-5 years' experience in a similar procurement role in a manufacturing environment
The organisation is committed to learning and development and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to study CIPS qualifications if required.
The main roles and responsibilities are to:
Responsible for managing the supply chain for indirect spend including Energy Contracts, MRO, tooling & facilities
Ensuring supplier compliance.
Targeting cost saving & consolidation opportunities in the indirect categories.
Managing supply change risk in indirect categories.
Development & Introduction of KPI's throughout indirect categories.
Negotiation and management of contracts ensuring supplier KPI's are being met.
Updating various key data such as Supplier Matrix & Cost increases and decreases and communicate this to key stakeholders.
Book hire vehicles where required and manage returns.
Required Skills & Experience
2 -5 years' experience in an Indirect Procurement role in a manufacturing environment.
Strong IT and Excel skills.
Good knowledge & understanding of contracts relating to procurement.
Well organised and proactive.
Good communication and negotiation skills when dealing with suppliers and colleagues.
Good teamwork ethic and positive attitude.
Ability to work well under pressure.
