Job description

Introduction

Our client, a leading company in the automotive sector, is currently seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their team. This is a contract position that will provide you with an opportunity to use your finance skills and contribute to the finance department's success.

Key Responsibilities

• Calculating, reviewing, and apportioning various costs.
• Completing a complicated intercompany reconciliation.
• Allocating GL codes to costs.
• Completing control account reconciliations.
• Providing other accounting support.

Job Requirements

• Experience in management accounts support is required.
• Strong finance skills.
• A keen attention to detail and accuracy in calculations.
• Proficiency in using relevant accounting software and Excel.

Additional Responsibilities

While the primary focus of this role is providing management accounts support, you will also be responsible for conducting certain duties within Accounts Receivable Support:

• Raising invoices and credit notes.
• Allocating cash receipts.
• Issuing customer statements.
• Issuing credit control notices.

Qualifications

• A degree in finance or related field is preferred and either part or fully qualified.
• Professional accounting qualifications, such as ACCA or CIMA, are advantageous.
