Introduction:

A utilities provider are recruiting a Supplier Relationship Manager to manage critical engineering & maintenance suppliers and subcontractors. Applicants need SRM or contract management expertise with maintenance & MRO, or related suppliers.

The Job:

The Supplier Relationship Manager - Operations will be responsible for leading and developing supplier relationships for a small suite of critical suppliers. Working closely with suppliers/subcontractors and internal stakeholders, the SRM will explore ways of adding more value to the relationship and delivering cost savings.

Specific duties of the SRM include:

  1. Establish mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
  2. Serve as an interface between supplier/subcontractor and internal stakeholders
  3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to manage elements of supplier/subcontractor performance
  4. Measure and capture the benefits of supplier relationships
  5. Conduct supply chain analysis and market intelligence activities
  6. Facilitate reviews between stakeholders and suppliers/subcontractors
  7. Monitor Expenditure and ensure discounts or rebates are applied
  8. Support Category Managers throughout the contract lifecycle
  9. Achieve annual savings as agreed with line manager
  10. Contribute to a department undergoing change and transformation

Supplier Relationship Manager applicants should meet the following criteria:

  1. SRM, contract management or strategic procurement experience with; construction, maintenance, MRO, engineering, civil engineering or similar supply chains
  2. Experience of developing progressive and mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers
  3. The gravitas to handle complex stakeholder relationships
  4. Have an innovative and creative approach to procurement
  5. The ability to support a department undergoing change and process improvement
  6. MCIPS / Degree - desirable
