Senior Auditor

You will design and deliver a variety of assignments across the business and mainly working autonomously from start to finish, working closely with senior management and the Directorate. You will apart from providing business assurance also help develop the groups control environment and corporate governance by negotiating adoption of audit recommendations that are linked to corporate goals, analysis of processes top-to-bottom and end-to-end, ensure any issue are investigated and corrective solutions and recommendations made. This is a truly visible role and you will drive and support the ongoing commercial direction of the business by providing suitable assurance and process improvements.
Overall assignment emphasis will focus on aspects such as business performance, value, operational efficiency and end-to-end process design. As such, a deep level of commercially aware knowledge needs to be quickly acquired during each assignment.
You will be responsible for designing and then delivering audits in line with the department’s Methodology and Quality Standards.
As a self motivated, thorough and communicative auditor you will ensure there is sufficient planning, analysis and completing assignments in-line with the time table. Follow up of Action Plans post-audit, ensuring meaningful progress reports are received each month; self-managing and resolving actions monitored and concluded in line with time frames and agreed actions.
The successful candidate will be a qualified IIA, ACA or CIMA Accountant with previous assurance and internal audit background who is able to add value and interact with senior management in what is a fast paced environment.
